How to Reduce Failures in Direct Adhesive Restorations
Direct adhesive composite restorations are the most common therapy in the work routine of every dental office, and longevity of them depends on different factors linked to the patient, the materials, the technique, and to the clinical operator. Diagnosis have a great rule into the establishment of a correct treatment plane, and the correct execution of the clinical procedures play an important part of the all process. Bond strategies:make it simple
The guidelines of modern restorative dentistry are adhesion and minimum invasiveness.
Composite and ceramic materials are now leading on the market as a permanent and universal restoration solution: there is no treatment planning which does not include the use of composite or ceramic materials as for sealing, anterior or posterior restoration or prosthetic crown support.
The perfect knowledge of the advantages and limits of adhesives in relation to the substrates is fundamental for clinicians: a superficial approach to use bonding may lead to failure and very long chair-work times.
Through clinical cases, simple and predictable strategies in the use of adhesives in relation to the substrates will be indicated.

Effects of Local and Systemic Factors on the Clinical Outcome
30 years ago, there was a great revolution with the introduction of Adhesive dentistry and implant dentistry into our daily lives. This has greatly expanded the range of aesthetic dentistry applications in our profession, along with minimally invasive dentistry. Today, with an advanced clinical protocole including treatment planning and the contemporary technique, we achive high-success rates with smile design treatment even beyond our the patient's expectations.
In this context, most of the mistakes can be arised by both adhesive dentistry procedures and implant applications in a mechanical area without considering local and general factors. Here are the points we missed the most; It is the failure of examining the local and systemic factors that we assume will not affect the treatment before starting the case, and the failure to predict the changes that will occur over time.
In cases where the detailed anamnesis is not taken and the systemic disorders of the patients are not fully investigated, the effects of such local and general factors on the long-term success criteria will be inevitable.

Dealing With Esthetic Failures on Implants in the Esthetic Zone – From A Soft Tissue Management Perspective
Dental treatment in the esthetic zone is particularly challenging due to high patient expectations and the visibility of any imperfections.
The common causes of esthetic failures around implants in the smile zone will be presented, such as implant malpositioning and inadequate soft tissue support, and various approaches for managing these issues will be described in detail throughout several clinical examples.
Soft tissue management, such as soft tissue grafting techniques, type of connective tissue and their clinical behavior will be discussed in detail along with their indications and limitations.
Comprehensive treatment plan that takes into consideration the patients’ esthetic concerns and clinical factors that could prevent esthetic failures will be addressed, as well as the need for ongoing maintance and monitoring, to ensure the long-term success of the final complex implant and prosthetic restoration.

Shit Happens in Dentistry… The reality of Treatment Planning vs Execution
As dentists, we are taught that diagnosis and treatment planning are the key factors to success in restoring our patients. This is true, although we cannot control all the factors of execution, especially when working in a team. Unfortunately, even in the most concerted efforts, things can go wrong. Most of the time, it is the restorative dentist that has to ”save the case” in the end. It is our ability to adapt and navigate these potential issues that allows for success. Explaining the potential issues prior to starting the treatment is critical to allow a smooth transition from the original plan to the new plan. This lecture will focus on trying to get it right from the beginning, , on potential issues that may arise and consideration for management, on how to deal with the patients and the team when issues arise.

Limitations and Failures On Digital Dentistry
Digital dentistry is now well received and accepted by practitioners and patients.
The improvement of technology produces new needs and changes of clinical behaviors.
The learning curve of practitioners about the new devices and techniques is a process that can not be avoided and must follow indications and instructions.
In particular, digital impressions are the key for practitioners to start to be digital and comunicate with the technician.
Many clinical procedures will be described and evaluated showing limitations and why failures might take place and how these issues can be solved clinically and in to the lab.
